Your Team

Our Guidance, Navigation & Controls (GNC) team codes the flight software that lets our drones autonomously launch, deliver, and land safely, even in the toughest conditions.

Your Role

• Design, implement, test, and release flight algorithms that boost vehicle performance.
• Build simulations and automated tests to validate designs and prevent regressions.
• Analyze fleet data to spot improvement opportunities and detect degradation.
• Develop on-board integrity monitors that flag performance loss in real time.
• Present findings to the full engineering organization.

What You’ll Bring

• Top-tier applied-math skills, ideally focused on control theory.
• Hands-on experience simulating, testing, and controlling dynamic systems (team project, thesis, competition).
• Exposure to linear control, optimal control under uncertainty, or navigation.
• Strong coding skills in C/C++ and Python, MATLAB, or Julia; Git fluency a plus.

Key Details

Full-time, in-person internship in South San Francisco or Dallas, May/June–August 2026. Pay: $38–42/hour plus housing stipend, relocation support, overtime pay, and more. Candidates are limited to three applications within 30 days.
